Welcome to the home of Stress, Sweat and Restoration.  I am so glad you have joined me and are interested in my walk as a full-time caregiver and working professional reclaiming her life.  This blog will provide a twisted authentic narration of a career-focused woman who abruptly became a full-time caregiver to her mother with Alzheimers.  From tears of advocacy work to the sweat of fighting systems of care, I mark the points in time where I dig my heels in and change the direction in my approach to maintaining my identity, my life goals and desires.

Not succumbing to stress is actually more challenging than allowing it to run overtop your life.   It takes intentional brutal effort to restore yourself after the impact of a traumatic event.  However, it can be accomplished through faith of steel, a fortified mindset, a sick sense of humor and a deepened love for yourself.

I promise you are not alone and will identify with a lot of the stories, thoughts and ideas in this blog.  If you don’t mind sweating with me, I promise you will find your steps in restoration for your life.

“Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.” – Brene Brown
